OBD II codes not ready

I have a 2001 saturn sl1 that wont pass inspection because 3 codes arent ready after driving over 1000 miles. What could be the cause of this? And is it possible for the ignition module to cause the codes to keep reseting? My car does run hot so I dont know if that could cause it as well. Mechanic says drive it more but inspection is out and 10 day expired. What can I do?

So are are you talking about the monitors not being set?If so which ones?So why are the monitors not set did you have a bad battery and replace it?Or did you have a code and clear it?The more details the better.
