Heater

Iv got no hot air out the heater i put a new thermostat flushed the rad lots of silt & rust came out i was hoping that would of fixed it but no.the top hose is hot but the lower hose to the stat is cold i put new coolent in bleed from the bleed screw on top of the thermostat housing & even from the inlet hose on the matrix that hose doesnt get that hot aswell if the heater matrix was broke would u get no air at all not even cold?i was told the head gasget would this affect the the the hot air going in to the car?

Is the engine running at a normal operating temp? With the engine warm and the heater on, do both heater hoses get hot? Finally, is the blower motor working?
