Why does my van have no power unless boosted?????
My van started having problems a couple days ago. it started running funny and then stoped running completely. I have put in a new alternator and a new battery. But there is still no power unless boosted.

charge your battery and have it checked. most auto parts stores do this for free. there also is a fusible llink that runs fromt eh starter to the alternator. if that is burnt or just one strand of wire connected it won't charge. it's a large red wire connected toa rust one. easy way to check is the large red wire form alternator probe with a test light with engine off. if it's bright then it's ok if dull light then it's either burnt or a bad battery
