Loud Noise

My car is making a very loud noise of something hitting back and forth- it turned off on me twice already. It also sounds like its going to die when I make a stop-The oil warning light goes off every time I make a turn.

Can you tell aprox where the noise is coming from? Also, is the idle getting very low and causing teh oil light to come on or is it on and off while driving?

Sounds like the noise is coming from the from the front of the car. The ile is in fact getting very low and the oil light comes on when its low and when I make turns.

Okay, that answers one question for me. The low idle is most likely causing the oil light to come on. The low idle could be the result of a vacuum leak, idle air control motor. Has the check engine light ever come on?

As far as the noise, that is a good one. If you open the hood with the engine off, can you see anything that appears loose? If the engine is running, can you identify where the noise is coming from?
