2001 Nissan Quest Repair Question

Nissan Quest Engine Problem
My nissan keeps trying to die when i'm waiting at a light, but it idols just fine while in park, and just this morning it almost didnt want to start,turns just fine i just had to give it some gas to keep it from dieing out, could that be the fuel pump? or the knox censor? oh and i have been notesing an ocasional foul smell.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing?
What is the idling rpm? Does it fluctuate when A/c is turned on and off?

yes, dont know,and i think it does seem that it works harder when the a/c is on.

If the MIL is indicating, it means an error has been detected in the engine management system and you need to retrieve the troule code to understand what is causing it.
