There is a button that turns the OD on and off. For driving on the highway, you want it on. If you are under 50MPH driving up and down hills, you can turn it off to eliminate shifting so often.

Press the small switch on the gear shift once to turn the light off. Pressing it again would turn it on.

If it is blinking while driving, you have a fault with the transmission control system and you need to get a scan done to check for trouble codes and repair to rectify.
