Gentlemen:
I have a well maintained Mercedes 2001 and it suddenly stalled tonight. There was no hint of engine or other problems, ie no sputtering ect. before the engine suddenly quit. I attempted to restart the vehicle four to 5 times and each time the engine turned over vigorously..ie. no starter, battery problems ect.
but the engine just wouldn't start.

Could there be bad fuel in the tank. The electrical system didn't fail as the starter and other elements, lights ect functioned fine. The engine just suddenly stopped and would not start.
