I don't have any heat in the passenger compartment and the engine overheats, what is going on? Should I replace the thermostat and if so how do I find it?

Replace the thermostat-

Install the thermostat into the thermostat case with the jiggle pin at the top.

The thermostat I bought doesn't have the jiggly pin, is it safe to install it? It's the $5.99 Duealast model from Autozone.

There's a purpose for that jiggle valve it allows air to pass thru the thermostat so that its not trapped inside the engine-Your shot
