You need to take the vehicle to have the computer scanned. The failsafe mode is designed into the computer to basically protect both you and the vehicle. If the computer identifies a major problem, it will go into failsafe and basically the car will lose most of its power. It is designed to both warn you of a problem but allow you to limp the vehicle to a shop to have it checked and repaired.

So Monday I have it scanned. Major problem not good.20000 miles yikes! Can't get worried before I get read out. Thanks : <

It could be something very simple, a sensor, disconnected wire. Don't worry. Everything is fixable.

Thank you, I'll know shortly. It was kind of you to try to offer comfort.
