2001 Hyundai Sonata Repair Question

Warning light
Brake and battery icon light is on. there is also a slight 'rubber' burning smell.

It could be one of the brakes is ceased and will not properly release. This is the noise you are smelling.
Take it to a repair shop as soon as you can as this is a safety issue.
