We recently rebuilt our car engine, and when you start the car the rpm should have been at 0 and it is at 1 when you start the car and it a heavy sound. Also it goes up to 2 how do we correct the problem. Someone told us there is probably air in the engine so we turn it on and let it run for a while

First, wherever you had the engine rebuilt, I would take it back to them. Once you get someone else to start working on it, a lot of the time you will lose any warranty work that could be done. It sounds like your tachometer is not set up correctly. The, 1, 2, 3, 4. Are for thousands (1000 revolutions per minute) Let me know what they say.

This could just be a simple fix or a bigger problem
