I have a 2001 honda prelude manual transmission and I just recently started having this RPM and power issue. When my car warms up in the morning and it's idling, sometimes it stalls out. Sometimes it stalls out while I'm driving on the road and the car is in gear. Also I'll be driving on the highway and I lose power and my RPM's drop all the way to zero for a few seconds and then kicks back in. It's doing it about 2 or 3 times a day. To me it sounds like a distributor problem because I'm losing power while driving but then it kicks back in. Has anyone had this problem before? Can anyone think of what the problem is? I had the distributor replaced 16 months ago with a brand new one. So I'm wondering if it's the new distributor or another issue with the car. Can anyone help?

Scan for codes and check fuelpressure with a gauge first auto parts rent it.
