2001 GMC Acadia Repair Question

Egr valve
I have a 2001 pontiac grand am they gold me i have 2 replace the egr valve so my question is do i have 2 replace it asap or would it damage my engine if i wait about a week?' Can i drive it that way?

You should replace it. I'm not sure how bad it is, but it will have affects on other items.
