Ford Ranger Check engine light Problem

I done a tune-up on my 3.0L. I put new wires&new plugs & now my check engine light is on. The code is p306, Which by my repair manuel says is a #6 cylinder mis-fire. I've cleared the code several times&it only comes on in the city. If I drive on the highway the light will not come on. Can you steer me in the right direction PLEASE?

check for a clogged egr system first, disconnect egr valve if miss goes away it's plugged.also check for tiny cracks in coils on top.
