2001 Ford Ka Repair Question

I have a ford ka 1.3 2001 when i go to accelerate the engine judders i have to just touch the trottle & build up speed very slowly any ideas would be appreciated
Seams to get better the further i drive but then starts juddering again after an hr or so not runnig
