2001 Dodge Ram Repair Question

Dodge Ram Engine Problem
360 engine 1500 4x4 when coming to a stop I hear a loud clunk when tranny downshifts into 1st at around 20 MPH with O/D on . If I turn O/D off No clunk Very Smooth. Cecked TV cable new fluid and filter. Thanks
