2001 Chrysler Sebring Repair Question

Chrysler Sebring Engine Problem
I have a new battery in my car..have had absolutely no problems with it..have owned it for about a year now..just all of a sudden now it won't stay running unless my foot is on the pedal...if i take my foot off ..it stalls.it seems like its the idle.help!!!

Check for vacuum leaks on the engine and check the idle air control valve. It is responsible for maintaining the engine idle.
