2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Repair Question

PT Cruiser Engine Swap
Placed a 2002 PT Cruiser engine in a 2001 PT Cruiser. Cannot get the engine to fire. Replaced cam and crank sensors. No luck! Cn there be a problem in the differnet year models??
