Fuel gauge most of the times reads empty even when its noti know if full it means a bad ground but I am really lost on this

It's probably a bad sending unit in the fuel tank. If you ground the purple wire and then momentarily turn the key on. If the gauge shoots to full, then the tank unit is likely bad.
