Radio no sound

It is the stock Radio. The radio I have no chimes, and the CD player works but no sound. I swapped the Amp. But that did not help.

The mute button is on the steering wheel. The radio is a bose radio ans CD.
I pressed the mute button two years ago and the radio turned off until a week and suddenly it went on for five minutes and turned off again. ( The sound that is ) the radio lights up the cd turns.

Two years ago I pressed the mute button on the steering wheel, all the sound turned off.
Everybody said it was the AMP on the bose system. I could not afford a new amp so I drove with silence.
A few weeks ago when I got into the car I heard the chimes I turned on the radio and it worked for a few minutes then turned off five minutes later it turned on again for awhile then turned off.
My friend had the same year Tahoe and was junking it. He sold the radio but the Amp. Was still in the car so I took it out and put it in my car still no sound. I already donated to the site this is my second request for the same problem

I put the original AMP. Back and scanned for any computer problems but nothing. It was strange that it turned on after all this time and then shut down, Do you think grounding has anything to do with it. I have issues with the horn that now starting to work not work the horn rely is good because when I lock the doors the horn sounds. Do you think that the problem is in the steering wheel for both issues?

Have intermittant electronic problems. Voltage gauge bounces all around, power locks, windows and mirrors stop working. Radio stops working flashing a "locked" indicator. When this happens the vehicle will not start if turned off. Happens only during the heat of the day. Mornings and evenings when it is cooler things are fine. Voltage at battery and alternator is good when gauge says otherwise. I AM LOOKING FOR A GM ELECTRONICS TROUBLESHOOTING MANUAL that I can purchase.

I cranked my Tahoe and it started making this loud tapping sound. It ran fine the night prior with no sound. There is no check engine light on, and the oil level is good. The temps dropped below freezing two nights prior, but it showed no signs of a problem until now. What could it be?

The screen is always working but the stereo started goin on and off intermintently and now it won't work at all but screen on the deck still works.

My 1995 Tahoe died 4 days ago while driving home. On the interstate the engine just died. The Radio and Headlamps worked but when I put the key in the ignition and turn it nothing happens at all. The lights on the dash board do not come on and the starter never turns the engine over. It is like turning the key in a truck with no battery. The headlamps work and the radio works after I release the key from the "start-up" position. I checked all the fuses both in the truck and under the hood. I took it to a mechanic who said they had fixed it but when I drove it home and tried to go to work the next day same thing. The mechanic towed it to their shop again and said they had fixed it again and said it was the ground from the battery that caused it to stop. After driving it for 2 days it stopped working. Same problem.

A point in the right direction is I am looking for.
