2001 Chevrolet Suburban Repair Question

How is the cable inside the door for the window supposed to be attached in there?
The window went down today, and we couldn't get it back up. We took the panel off the door and there is a good bit of loose cable in the upper left of the inside area.

regulator is easier to replace then try to repair. scrap yard is reasonable.
