Chevrolet S-10 Starter Problem

Engine just started to try to turn backwards after shut off,,,long cranktime now then loud nosie after every rotation,,burned out starter,,replaced starter still same meatel clang nosie then try to dead stop starter,,after it does start runs fine nice power curve,,but idle s rough,,then locked up second starter,,checked flywkeel torqeconv. bolts nothing hiting,,or brok=nen plzz help with any ideas plzzzzz only work truck,,thxxx

bad injector leaking raw fuel into the cylinder causing the miss, hard start noise and all.

bad spider injecter would not make this kinda noise,,dont think..and the starters locking up,,or can it???

i was speaking generally. i assumed you had a 4 cylinder but a 6 cylinder has a spider.

start locks up from hydrostatic lock from liquid in the cylinder and yes it could cause the noise. do a fuel pressure test as a start.
please be sure to give us all the info in the future so we dont have to guess

my bad,,asked so many ppl..lol yeah i have 64psi at test port,,4.3..new pump about 2weeks old,,thinking something is deff, wrong with timing maybe by te motor trying to turn backwards after you crank a min then stop...idk im stumpped,,i really apper. any help from you

what happens to the pressure with key off???

does it have pressure when you first hook it up before turning the key on??
