2001 Chevrolet Cavalier Chevy That Currently Running Drove Work Several Weeks

I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier that is currently not running. I drove it to work several weeks back and it ran fine. I went out after work to start my car and it was shaking real bad and missing. I drove it slowly home because I didn't have any compression it used all my gas which was full. When I finally made it home I turned the car off and the indicator lights on the dash was still flashing. We went out and tried to start it again and it is doing the same thing. Could you please help me?
