Replaced intake gasket on my 2001 blazer 4x4 and also the camshaft sensor and the motor now knocks loudly? Oil pressure is good

Motor did not knock before i had the intake gasket replaced and also the sensor? I picked up the vehicle from the garage and drove it less than 5 miles and the truck was knocking? Took it back to garage and the owner came out and listened to it and said it needs a new engine? Took it to another garage in town for second opinion and they said the same thing. They didn't even take the time to hook it up and diagnose from computer? Oil pressure is good. The shop said they put a spacer in the sensor and then it worke
