I want to replace the tail light and cruise control release switches on the brake pedal but I can't figure out how to remove the old ones. I removed the under dash cover to access the area, but it is still awkward and tight. The Haynes manual says to "release the switch by pulling down and releasing the top snap clip". But the way I see it is that the switches snap into the pedal bracket from the front, so that after installation, the snaps are on the rear of the bracket just above the brake pedal, blocking access to them. I cannot reach the top snap with my hand or a screw driver.
