Water/heat problems
2001 bmw 318i tourer water probs, ie when stood still and engine idling heater blows cold increase revs to 2k and heater blows warm, no thermostat fitted when i started to look at problem,now split expantion tank i have put temp repair on, also small amount of mayo on dipstick but not on oil cap, could you advise please.

Might be a problem, you may have a water/oil mix going on.
