2000 Volvo S80 Repair Question

How do you get the vabration damper on a 2000 s80 volvo to remain still so u can remove the four bolts on it?

I am trying to do the timing belt on my volvo. can it be done without the counter holding tool 9995433?

Jam the starter drive and the flywheel with a screwdriver or use an impact wrench also you can use a long breaker bar and lock in place underneath-observe rotation of the damper and crank engine -disable the ignition system when you use the breaker bar-
