VW Golf gears clunking and rattling when changed
Car revs and pulls of when I change gears esp between 1st 2nd, with a clunking/ rattling beneath the driver side

manual? is there any noise when the clutch is pressed down?

Yes it's a manuel. There's no sound on the clutch, I actually replaced that recently. There was a snag with the gear shaft though, always between 1st 2nd, 2nd and 3rd. There is a whirring sound from the engine when I slow down!
