Ive recently overfilled my engine oil by mistake as I was in a rush, it was overfilled by about an inch, I thougt nothing of it and my oil pressure light started to come on, I found out that overfilling can cause foaming which is what I expect has happened, so ive taken out the correct amount of oil and its not sittig just under the full mark on the dipstick, is there any oil additive I can use to counter the foaming effect? Thanks

Okay thanks for that, ive taken the car out today and the light came on alot less frequently (1 or 2 times) so I switched car of almost immediately and didnt come back on so maybe I will drain to 3/4 full and see if that helps.

Just make sure you set it to the correct level and that will take care of the over full part. Then you will have to watch the light really close.
