2000 solara & its automactic on the floor. Sometimes the car wouldn't start unless the gear shift was not in park. Once I would push on it it would start. Now the car will not start at all. It will start but I can't put it in reverse it's like the gear shifter is off its track. This is so hard to explain. Is there someone I can talk to

Seems the Park Neutral position switch is bad or the shifter cable needs attention. Get those checked first.
