I have a 2000 Grand Vitara with about 80,000 on it. It's getting close to the time of replacing the brakes and I'd like to get some opinions on places to go.We don't have a Suzuki dealer here in town, but the Honda place I sometimes go to can do Zuks, though I'm never sure if they are using true Suzuki parts. They are expensive too.

The other option I was considering was Big O tires. They've treated me well there and have sold me good tires and a battery, so I'm assuming that whatever brand they put on will be solid.

The last option is the good ol' Midas option. I like their lifetime replacement policy, but I've really known about the quality of the brake parts.

Thanks

There are plenty of quality, aftermarket brake pads out there. The big question will be, "are those the ones you're getting?". The only place you could be sure about what you're getting would be at Midas. I am pretty familiar with their products and warranty and would be comfortable using them. If you go to a Honda dealer, you are not going to get Suzuki OEM parts. They do not have access to them.
