My Air conditioner hasn't worked since I got the car, and just recently I got the compressor replaced and had a lot of freon added to it. It stopper working after a few days and I took it into a shop and they said that their was something wrong with some switch.

What could be the problem with my ac, and how could I get it fixed without costing too much, the shop wanted to charge me $100 just to look at it to see what was wrong. Also other people have told me it probably need more freon but I had about 5 cans put in. Sorry about not leaving too much info.

You definitely need to take this to a reputable AC specialist. You are going to destroy the entire system doing what you are doing. The system requires a very specific amount of charge and overcharging it can cause the compressor to grenade through the whole system. Your question stated that you already had it diagnosed at a shop. I can't tell you what is going on with your car without a lot of testing.
