If you have a coolant leak, that needs fixed before doing anything other. If you continue to overheat the engine, you may end up replacing the engine rather than a fix. Make sure there is oil in the engine, and have the computer scanned to identify why the check engine light is on.

Too much info what vehicle do u have is it a saab 9-2x or a saab 9-5 v6, they r 2 different cars state which one u need info for.

Hello Jacobandnickolas, Many thanks for your reply, I believe the bottom line, is it needs a tow to the shop. Mnthny4, the make is a 2000 V6 9-5 Wagon, front wheel drive. To go into more detail about the prob. The engine starting spewing coolant / anti freeze out of the engine on the opposite side of where the coolant reservoir is. Added more coolant only to watch it pour out the opposite end, when driven, the temp gauge goes to max, both fans come on and takes several mins. For the engine to cool. There is also a kind of clicking sound when its over heating and in motion, oil is fine, not sure why the check oil light would come on as well as the caution light. First and last Saab after this is fixed. Thanks again for your reply.
