What can cause a 440 code on a 2000 pontiac sunfire 2.2litre

evap code. just a quick check. under the car passenger side by the gas tank is a connector from the body to the fuel pump and the evap vent valve. it is common for the wires to break close to the connector. have seen this dozens of times. check this first before going to a full diag
