I was driving the other day in my 2000 Pontiac Bonneville when all of a sudden my oil pressure guage went to 0, my rpms went to 0, and my steering went stiff. But the car was still running. I pulled over, turned it off then back on, and it seemed to be okay. I got where I was going and stayed there an hour or so. Went back hime and it happened again. Any ideas.

If the oil pressure drops to 0, it will shut the engine down which would result in the other things you mentioned. Was there any knocking or ticking from the engine?

I just realized you said the engine was still running. The vehicle has a traditional P/S system, so I'm not sure how that was affected if the engine stayed running.

This sounds electrical. Start by checking the battery cables and grounds. Make sure everything is tight and clean.
