Lemon maxima
I just bought a nissan maxima 2000 its making a squealing noise like metal on metal when driving not when breaking.. also jumps when switching gears not all the time.. and it has trouble staying cranked in the morning but during the day no problem

squeeling may be the brake warning tabs, have your brakes checked.
check the fluid in the trans, beyond that, get a trans shop to check it for you.
any check engine light?? could be a vacuum ;eak or mass air flow.
