2000 Mitsubishi Galant Jerking/engine shutting off

When I approach a stop light, or just breaking mon the breaks lightly, the engine jerks, sputters like it wants to shut off, sometimes it does/doesn't. But when it does shut off, it cranks right back up. Then I can drive 3-5 days until it happens again.I took my car to a foreign repair shop had 4spark plugs changed/ignition coil replaced/throttle body cleaned/, still jerking and shutting off, so I waited a week/my brother is a mechanic n Baton Rouge La/found me a used throttle body, had a mechanic put used throttle body on/less than 3hrs it started jerking again. What do u think could be the problem. Thanks

There are many possibilities and jerking are usually due to spark plugs and related components.
Do you have oil in the spark plug tubes?
Were the spark plug wires tested?

Yes, I had a mechanic changed four sparks lugs, ignition coil, and cleaned throttle body. Still jerked & shut off, had mechanic put n a used throttle body, still jerking & shutting off when approaching stop light or backing up. Took it to Mitsubishi dealership charged $129, & they told me they couldn't DX anything b/c the odes had been cleared out earlier by O'Reilly's & Advanced Auto.

Did you recheck for trouble codes?

Have the MAF and engine compression tested.

Do you have any overheating or coolant losses issues?
