My daughter has a 2000 Mercury Sable. It has no power at all. They have checked the battery and the alternator. Nothing came up on the diagnostic machine. Any ideas? No power to the ignition. The mechanics are stumped.

If it acts just like if the battery was disconnected, follow the smaller positive battery wire to the under-hood fuse box and be sure that connection is clean and tight. Follow the smaller negative battery wire to the body and be sure that connection is clean and tight.
