2000 Mercury Mountaineer won't start

My SUV has been parked for two months on a empty tank. I just put new gas into and charged the battery and it still won't fully start, I send to not be getting gas. It ran fine two months ago and has just been parked since its been out of gas. What could be wrong? And how can I fix it?

Since it has been out of gas the pump may be stuck, take a rubber mallet and bang the bottom of tank and see if you have fuel pressure if you do can't guarantee how long it will work or run
