2000 Mercedes Benz ML 320 does not start after doing a car wash. I used jump cables and does not start. When I insert the key in the ignition and turn it, it does nothing.

During the car wash, did you spray any water under the hood? When you turn the key, is there power for the rest of the car? Also, did you check the tightness of the battery, ground and starter cables? Did you check the starter relay?

I washed car my through a car wash. The car was not washed underneath. When the key is inserted in the ignition and I turn it, it does nothing, no cabinet lights or dashboard lights are on. The keyless entrey does not work either. The battery is brand new and the cables are tight. I used jump cables and nothing happens. I dont know what a starter relay is or it is located. Could be the starter?

If it were only the starter, the rest of the power would be good. First check all underhood fuses and relays. Also, just because the cables are tight doesn't mean they're tight at the alt, starter, ground, or that there isn't a break in the cable somewhere. Eliminate this as a possible cause first.

Next have the ignition switch checked. Lastly have the BCM and ECM checked.
