2000 Mazda Millenia Repair Question

Info on tempature door actuator?
Where is the tempature door actuator on a 2000 Mazda Mellenia? How hard is it to get to to replace?Can it be rigged to work heat only?dealer wants $660 to replace.Only have AC @ one tempature,will not heat or defrost.

mode door actuator is on the drivers side above gas pedal.
no jury rigging. wont work. either replace it or it stays as it is.
