Mazda 626 Engine Problem
Shortly after the engine is turned on, the engine will race and then almost die until the engine has warmed up.
Sometimes the engine will die completely when coming to a stop.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing?
Could be the cold start is not functioning correctly. Try cleaning the throttle body and IAC.
