I have a 2000 lexus it have 6 codes po300 po301 po303 po305 p1130 p1349 what is the vvt system and what does it do and why would I get a misfire on cyc 1 5 and3 I replace plugs and coils and then I clear the codes and they came back so I replace the timing belt

Variable valve timing.

Most cases, sludge causes the valve to malfunction from not changing the oil on a regular basis.

The system has to be completely flushed of all debris, the valve replaced and cross your fingers that all the debris is gone. Then the code will go away.

Start there.
