I took my 2000 infiniti to dealership yesterday for oil change & checkup. They gave me a print out. I I paid, left and 3 hours later my car ran hot. Its never done that in the year ive owned it. No where on the diagnostic sheet did it say anything was wrong with radiator or with a cooling issue. My question is, should I take it back & let them test it again, then charge me for expensive repairs, go to a different specialist or demand they repair because I suspect they caused the problem whatever it may be. Of course they said that all they did was change the oil & test. So all they will offer is ANOTHER diagnosis for free this time & I have to pay for repairs it has 156,000miles. Is it reasonable for me to assume the issue was due to something they did since my diagnostic didnt show any issues with heating or cooling & id never had this issue before that?

Check coolant level first it may have been low when you took it there. Then have it pressure tested for a head gasket leak. You can go to any garage for that. Can't say anything against dealer as it may have been like that when you wen there

I'd get it pressure checked if it were low to begin with it may be a head gasket/s. Any garage can do this it doesn't have to go to dealer for that unless you want to pay premium prices or can't trust any repair shop in area.
