2000 honda passport sound like air leak at rear of engine while running
Checking out used car had car running and heard air/exhaust leak at passenger side rear of engine, felt hot air coming from tubing hooked to aluminum plennum.

I am not sure of the exact location you are refering to but symptom indicates an exhaust leak and it could be from the EGR system. Check for a bad gasket.
