I broke the timing chain in my truck its a 2000 5.3l vortec engine 1500 4 x 4 sierra. How much should it cost to replace the broken chain & install a new timing chain kit complete?

Here are the time estimates and diagrams to help you see what you are in for when doing the job.

20 - Timing Chain 12586482 $55.62

Replace 7.5 HOURS

With Three Piece Engine Cover, Add 0.2

To R&R Crankshaft Gear, Add 0.2
