My car sputters after long distance driving. There is no check engine light. It starts up fine, and during a 200 mile trip it broke down after about 180 miles of driving. I went to get a diagnostic done and they could not find anything wrong with my 2000 Ford Focus SE. I have had an oil change, fuel filter replacement and inspection done within the last 2 weeks. And it seemed to be driving ok. Then when I had to make another 200 mile trip. It did the same thing. What could be wrong?

Unless someone gets the opportunity to troubleshoot it while the problem is present, it's going to be impossible to determine anything for sure. You can guess but throwing parts at it can get very expensive and solve nothing.
