My car started to idle rough. After 2 days it was so bad it shakes and completely bogs down to stall on me. But if I hit the gas, it stops and runs normally until it is idle again. There is a hissing noise coming from something somewhere around intake. Engine light came on, had codes read. They recommended the mass air flow sensor or the idle air control. I replaced both and neither helped. They said the other option was throttle position sensor. When I put the new one on, I cranked the car and it revved way up. RPM wouldnt go back to idle. Put old tps back and it is back to the same problem I started with. What could be wrong?

Check for a vacuum leak either going to power brake or one of the other hoses off. Then clean throttle plate on both sides and iac hole with choke cleaner. Next time have a mechanic look at it not someone from auto parts as they don't know either.
