2000 Ford Fiesta manual is making a rattling noise upon acceleration and burning smell. Engine temp is very high and rattling/smell got worse as continued driving. Car seemed to struggle to accelerate after awhile. Just topped up oil and water a month ago..... What could be causing this and is it safe to drive to mechanic?
