Why wont my vehicle start?

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport. I haven't been able to get it started in over eight months. I took the starter out and had it tested. The starter is fine. I cleaned off all of the battery terminals and the terminals on the wiring for the starter. I also purchased a new voltage regulator. The engine wont turn over and the ignition makes a single clicking noise when I turn the key. Could anyone help me figure out why it still wont start?

Have you check the starter solenoid on the fender near the battery? It is napa number ST404. Give that a check sense the starter it good it is more then likely that the starter solenoid is not sending the power to the starter, that is what you are hearing clicking.
